Leo Kendrick and the Birth of Sol Raven
Sol Raven Music is a collaborative artistic experiment brought to life through the writing, composition and music of Leo Kendrick. Reaching through the terrain of many genres; blues, folk, soul, pop ballads and esoterica, Sol Raven is an exploration of both shadow and illumination within the human soul - a celebration of the light and dark both within the world and within the individual.
From gritty blues tunes to poetically captivating ballads, Leo’s vision and playfulness sets a standard for innovation, daring to stay grounded within the limits of audience receptivity while inspiring with an otherworldly longing. Themes of love, loss, connection, freedom, desire, individuality, betrayal and beauty infuse the songs with a personal emotional meaning, while grappling with the changes in the world and our pathway forward as a collective.
Leo has published four volumes of poetry since 2005 and written countless pieces on psychology, spirituality and alternative health. He has been playing guitar for over 20 years and played at many blues gigs in Melbourne between 2014-2018. He has recorded and composed music under his former label Blue Ravine. He collaborates with other musicians across geographical and dimensional rifts to produce the current songs found on Sol Raven Music.
